Iyke Ezeugo, a Brekete Family Consultant has raised a petition to call for diplomatic intervention in respect of an allegation of stolen kidney and attempted murder of Mrs Julie Osamese Ihdehyen in Italy.
Mrs Julie Osamese Ihdehyen, from Edo state needs urgent help following an alleged theft of her kidney by a hospital in Italy.
Below is her story as shared by Brekete Family
“In 2008 Julie had symptoms of malaria and as a result went to Amideos Avoya hospital for medical attention. After series of test, she was confirmed fit but her health deteriorated.
In 2009, she was admitted in the same hospital and was told she had Urinary Tract Infection which needed treatment in a different hospital. On the first night at the Sejuale Bosko hospital where she was referred for further treatment, she woke up to realise she had been tied up and was to be injected by a male doctor and two female aids. Against protest from Julie she was injected with unknown drugs and became paralysed and suffered memory loss.
After about two months, she was visited in her hospital room by same medical experts and without forewarning nor theatre operation prep for surgery, she was cut through her back and her kidney was taken without her consent. She was abandoned for about a week in room 2 then was moved to room 10 to join another patient.
On one fateful day the same medical experts; came to Julie’s hospital room again, pinned her on her stomach to the hospital bed, forcefully cut open her buttocks stretching close to her female organs and had alcohol poured in to the sour cut. The experts strapped a belt around her arm to monitor her breaching. After this experience, Julie suffered severe indigestion, torso cut, restlessness and other medical challenges for 10 months after which she subjected to an interview with woman who claimed she was a Nigerian citizen from Benue state Nigeria.
At this point, there was registered fear from the experts as they began to bring in different doctors to examine Julie’s condition. It was eventually confirmed that Julie had been disfigured beyond repair and in a bid to quiet the long lady she was given injection meant for retarded patients. After another 5months of abandonment she was visited again by the experts to tell her she must treat ridolo a condition that has tampered with her spinal cord, and must also treat lumpus which is likely to make her loose her mind. According to them, it was time to help Julie and she was referred to another hospital.
With medical aid Julie began to recover lost memory. She recounted how her personal documents were seized and her kidney stolen from her. Again another bolt of suffering; she was placed on a medication of 16tablets in the morning, 9tablets in the afternoon and 7 in the evening, little did she know that all these hospitals worked in tandem and have been feeding her drugs meant for the retarded in a bid to numb her to the point of death. Thanks to good conscience, she never took any of the drugs. Rays of hope shone in 2013 when representatives from the embassy returned her seized documents and medical reports.
To her amazement, it was not included that her kidney was taken nor was it on record that she suffers paralysis from her ordeal in the hands of the medical experts. The document bore her forged signature.
For compensation, the embassy renewed her papers free of charge and she was nationalized.
In court, Julie was discharged and acquitted and declared mentally fit.
