Placard Carrying Girl who met the vice president DID NOT GET A JOB
Lanre Nzeribe responds to allegations of assault made against him by female staff
We had a 3rd party Live band event. He wanted me to give him N8000 from the sales. I said to wait until I tally the percentage with the 3rd party for their 30% commission so there is transparency. He insisted I give him the 8k, I told him to take the money himself since it's his Lounge and he said I was fired and I said over 8k and the Slap came. It landed on my surgery jaw and it has been bleeding since. LANRE slapped me twice on the jaw and once on my other jaw and the impact of the last slap connected me to the fridge in the kitchen. Now I have a bruised back and a bleeding jaw.
Please for N8000, Do I deserve to be slapped 3 times? Whether he was drunk or high, no man has a right to slap a woman. Size difference apart. 8k shouldn't lead to a slap.... Please tell me if I deserve to be slapped, not once but 3 times by Mr. Lanre Nzeribi?????
Apparently some staffs who initially said I didn't deserve to be slapped have started changing their story why? Are they condoning Female assault at work? Are they Hiding the truth so they don't get sacked or slapped or is it for fear of not getting their salary?
I take daily selfies and write motivational message daily. I have never been slapped before in all my life and coming home to Nigeria after 18years in America puts a bad taste in my mind.
It has come to our notice that a certain Linda Dominguez who is an ex employee of Davinci Fashion Lounge has been reaching out to bloggers trying to taint the person of Mr. Lanre Nzeribe our CEO through allegations of domestic violence.
We wish to state clearly that no such thing transpired. Linda Dominguez has worked for the club for only one month and had misappropriated funds from the running of the Business.
She had been informed that she had to account for the missing funds or get fired especially as a report of theft had been lodged against her at the Police Station.
On the night of the alleged slap, she had been fired for being rude to Mr. Nzeribe before other members of staff, and was directed to handover company documents in her possession. So she held on tightly to the documents while Mr. Nzeribe tried to retrieve them from her and she started screaming 'you slapped me, you slapped me, it's going on the blogs that you slapped me' to the consternation of all who were present .
She had it all planned out. Linda Dominguez is a social climber who wants to become a celebrity by all means and has chosen Mr. Nzeribe as a target to achieve this.
Linda Dominguez is trying to put up drama in the wake of the ongoing intolerance of domestic violence against women, also because she had been fired and was asked to account for missing funds. Her brother is also a culprit in the siphoning of company funds.
Thank you for practicing real journalism by seeking our side of the story.
Warm regards.

The Nigerian Army yesterday said a soldier and four other persons including a mother and child were killed in Biu, Borno State when a tricycle (‘Keke Napep’) accidentally climbed a Improvised Explosive Device, IED, planted along Damboa road, close to a military checkpoint and exploded.
Giving details of the unfortunate incident, Army Spokesman, ol Sani Usman said, “At about 8.15am Sunday, a tricycle, known as “Keke NAPEP” unknowingly stepped on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by the side of Biu -Damboa road close to a military checkpoint at the outskirts of Biu town, Borno State. Unfortunately, the IED exploded instantly killing 4 persons comprising of a woman with her baby and 2 other male adults. “Three other persons were injured including a soldier and they were immediately evacuated to Biu General Hospital. We regret to state that the injured soldier also died at the hospital. “The general area has been cordoned off and Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) team from Forward Operation Base (FOB) in Buratai has been mobilized to carry out further search of the area. Preliminary investigations shows that the IED was buried long time ago undetected. It exploded when the tricycle erroneously stepped on it.” While commiserating with the families of the victims of the sad incident, Usman said, “This unfortunate development has brought to the fore, the need for more security consciousness and vigilance among all. “We would like to reiterate that the explosion would not deter us from seeing to the end of Boko Haram terrorists wherever they might be hiding through our ongoing clearance operations. “We want to use this opportunity to solicit for more cooperation from the members of the public to enable us succeed in the fight against the remnants of these criminal elements going by the appellation ‘Boko Haram terrorists’. Meanwhile, Borno State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, yesterday discovered two bomb-making factories in Dikwa. The NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, who made this known in Maiduguri, said the factories were discovered during a patrol by men of the command in collaboration with the troops of the 22 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army.

Suspected hoodlums on Sunday abducted and killed a doctor with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, Thomas Adekoya-Cole, in the Itele area of Ijebu, Ogun State.
PUNCH Metro gathered that 60-year-old Adekoya-Cole, a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with LUTH, was murdered while in his hometown to attend a public function.
Our correspondent gathered that Adekoya-Cole was cut with matchets after some hoodlums attacked him around 7.30am on Sunday.
It was learnt that the matter was reported at the police Area Command, Ijebu, and the Igbeba Police Division.
Our correspondent gathered that the doctor was initially rushed to a private hospital in the area, where he was confirmed dead.
A source in Ijebu Ode told PUNCH Metro that the hoodlums came to Akongi Street, in the Itele area of Ijebu, where some traditional worshippers were holding rites and initially hacked one of them, identified as Omotayo Ogunbowale, to death.
He added that in the ensuing pandemonium, the worshippers and other people present fled to their houses for safety.
It was, however, gathered that the hoodlums came again at about 7am on Sunday and killed Adekoya-Cole.
The source said, “There was a traditional festival on Saturday, and Adekoya-Cole attended the event from his base in Lagos. The rite was held on Akongi Street in Itele-Ijebu and during the festival, some worshippers were attacked by hoodlums and one Omotayo Ogunbowale was killed.
“On Sunday, the hoodlums came again, abducted Adekoya-Cole from his house and hacked him to death. The matter was reported at the Igbeba Police Division and to the Police Area Command, also in Igbeba.”
Another source added that a clash had broken out among the worshippers, which led to the crisis and the killings.
He said, “Trouble started on Saturday when a native doctor at the festival was abducted and killed by suspected hoodlums. There was a clash among the worshippers. Everyone fled to their houses. On Sunday, the LUTH doctor’s house in Itele was stormed by hoodlums and he was later found with matchet injuries.
“He was rushed to a private hospital in Ijebu Ode, where he died.”
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the murders, said eight suspects had been arrested in connection with both cases.
Adejobi added that the suspects would be transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigations, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.
He said, “On Saturday, Dr Adekoya-Cole attended an Ogun ritual in the area, but a clash broke out. One of the worshippers, Ogunbowale, was hacked to death. The doctor thereafter returned to his house. However on Sunday around 7am, the hoodlums attacked and killed him in his house.
“So, we are having two murder cases. The police have arrested eight suspects in connection with the cases. We are going to transfer the suspects to SDCI, Eleweran, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
“The police are fully in charge. The doctor’s corpse has been removed to a mortuary in Ijebu Ode.”

He said, “Yes, he is one of our consultant surgeons. We do not have an official statement yet. That might be done on Monday. But we have heard the news.”

Bricklayer kills friend for refusing to charge phone
A bricklayer, Demola Wasiu, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing his friend, Lekan Omotosho, 27.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Wasiu, an indigene of Ede, Osun State, stabbed the Ogun State indigene in the armpit after he refused to charge his phone for him.The victim was said to have lost a lot of blood before he was rushed to the Lagos Island General Hospital, where he died on Friday.
The suspect, who was arrested by policemen from the Lion Building division, was later transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.
It was gathered that Omotosho was an apprentice in a mechanic workshop on Ajele Street, Lagos Island.
He was said to have come to Lagos from Mowe, Ogun State, three months ago.
His boss, Olayinka Oyinloye, said he had warned him against his friendship with Wasiu after he was arrested for a crime he knew nothing about.
He said, “Just two months ago, the police arrested him while watching over Wasiu’s phone. The problem is that they usually smoke hemp in that place where they charge phones. Throughout the time of his detention, this so called friend did not check on him.
“After I got him out on bail, I warned him against the friendship and cautioned him not to allow anybody put him in trouble.
“On Thursday, Wasiu came again and asked him to help him charge his phone and watch over it. Lekan (Omotosho) refused. That was how he became angry and started fighting him.”
Our correspondent was told that the suspect, who had a bottle of beer in his hand, smashed it on the floor and stabbed Omotosho in the armpit.
Oyinloye said, “He fell down and started bleeding. People took him to a hospital, while they held Wasiu to prevent him from escaping.
“They took Wasiu to the Lion Building Police Division around 11.30pm. I went to check on Lekan (Omotosho) in the hospital. Around 1am, he died. I went back to the station to report the development to the police. Some of the officers followed me to the hospital to confirm if he was actually dead.”
At the SDCI, the suspect begged for forgiveness, saying he never intended to kill Omotosho.
He said, “All I want is forgiveness. I did not mean to kill him. He was my friend and I have no reason to kill him. Please help me beg them to give me another chance. I have no father or mother to assist me.”
It was learnt that the victim’s parents had arrived from Ogun State to recover the corpse from the police after autopsy.
The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Damasus Ozoani, confirmed the incident, adding that investigations were ongoing.
He said, “Yes, it happened. The suspect, Demola Wasiu, stabbed the victim, Lekan Omotosho, with a broken bottle. He was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead. The matter is under investigation.”

Pastor celebrates birthday by giving 32 exotic cars, money to Jide Kosoko, Alex Usifo, other Nollywood stars
Abuja – The Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Kubwa, Abuja, Joshua Iginla on Sunday, gave out 32 cars out of which were 16 SUVs to celebrate his birthday.
Iginla also gave out money running into several millions of naira to the aged, widows, orphanages and scholarships to orphans from nursery school to university.
Six Nollywood actors and actresses got Hummer jeep 3 series, Mercedes G-Wagon and Mercedes CLS 550. They include Jide Kosoko, Francis Duru, Alex Usifo, Ngozi Osondu, Thelma Nwosu and Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Babaluwe.
Artisans got generators and cash gifts while the widows got deep freezers, rice and cash gifts ranging from N150,000 to N1.5 million.
Treasure Orphanage Foundation, Nyanya, Divine Wound Orphanage, Kubwa and Christ Home Foundation, Kuje, got N1.5 million each and rice while some orphans in the homes were awarded scholarships from nursery to university.
Iginla said he had 782 widows and orphans he caters for. “It doesn’t matter to me if I trek home as I have given even the car that I personally drive.
“I can only drive one car and live in one house at a time. This understanding is what has taught me that when I die, others will inherit my assets.
“The beauty of life is not in its duration but in its donation.
I have not seen some of the beneficiaries before in my life or spoken to them. “I’m seeing many of them for the first time today. I am seeing Jide Kosoko for the first time”, he said.
Iginla also said he gave cars to the Nollywood actors because many of them were poor but people erroneously think they were rich.
According to him, the fruit of the Nollywood artistes were being reaped by pirates and challenged government to do something to arrest it.
“The Nollywood actors and actresses are our ambassadors; they have projected the image of this country positively”, he said.
Kosoko, who confirmed he was meeting Iginla for the first time, commended him for his philanthropy.
Iginla had, in 2015, given 18 cars and millions of naira as birthday gifts to people to celebrate his birthday.

Seyi Law slaps Eko hotel security guard
After the conclusion of the Kiss Daniel’s album concert in the early hours of Monday, May 16 2016, Seyi Law, a comedian, ferociously slapped Peter Ethan, a security guard working with Eko Hotel and suites, three times, Vanguradngr reports.
This allegedly occurred while the comedian was driving out and was accosted by Ethan, who was trying to inform him of an alternative route he could take to ease vehicular movement and avoid traffic. Lost for words as to why he was bullied in such a rascally manner, Ethan burst into uncontrollable tears.
But for the intervention of a few peacemakers and Seyi’s quick escape instincts, he would have been lynched by an angry mob that began to build. In an interview with Vanguradngr, Ethan tearfully recounted his bitter ordeal “I was only trying to redirect him through an alternative route which my boss instructed us on, to avoid traffic jam as guests drive out.
To my greatest surprise, Seyi Law just jumped out of his car and began to hurl abusive words at me. While trying to explain to him he just suddenly gave me three dirty slaps. This has never happened to me before, is it because I’m putting on a security uniform? I didn’t expect this kind of attitude from Seyi Law.”
Read Seyi Law's version and apology below .
I am sorryto say, Seyi had no right to slap anyone regardless of what might have happened. In a normal world he would have been arrested for assaulting the guard. Imagine if the guard had slapped him.

Nigerian woman killed by her husband in Staten Island
The career criminal on the lam after he was spotted carting around his dead wife on a dolly on Staten Island was arrested Saturday, officials said.
Anthony Lopez was on the run since Friday morning, when he was seen wheeling the body of Obiamaka Aduba, 26, along Post Ln. near Richmond Terr. in Mariners Harbor, police said.
Lopez (photo), 31, shaved his head and tried to disguise himself after police distributed a photo of him Friday, NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said. He scowled and shook his head silently as police lead him from the 121st Precinct stationhouse.
A tip led police to East Harlem, where cops nabbed him at First Ave. and 113th St. Lopez sought shelter at his aunt’s place, but they wouldn’t let him stay with them, sources said. He was caught after a brief chase.
Lopez and the victim had a tumultuous relationship, and sources said he beat her badly enough in the past to break bones and had her work as a prostitute. Her mom tried to stay in touch, but “Every time her mother would buy her a new phone, he would take it and sell it,” one police source said.
Aduba’s body was wrapped in a sheet, with strangulation marks around her neck and bruises on her body, Boyce said.
The city medical examiner has yet to determine how Aduba died.

It’s unfair for any man to marry one wife – 9ice
Nigerian music star, Abolore Akande, fondly called 9ice, has suggested his plans to marry more than one wife and disclosed his wish to have many children from different women.
The ‘Alapomeji’ crooner in an interview with Ebony Life TV said, “We have more women currently. If one man marries just one wife, other women will be useless.
“I’m a product of a polygamous family that is why I am also productive; because there are more women than men, it would be unfair if a man marries one wife.”
Recall that the single father currently has four children from three women; his ex-wife, Toni Payne has a boy, Victoria Godis has a set of twin for him while his latest girlfriend, Sunkanmi Ajala has a daughter for him.

Free Alheri Buba! There Shall Be No Compulsion In Religion - FreeAlheri#
As shared by Bamidele Ademola Olateju on Facebook
"When I studied Islam during my University days and with total dedication during my National Youth Service, one of the most fascinating verses from the Holy Qur'an came from Suratul Baqarah - The cow. Apart from the proclamatory and authoritative opening of Zalikal kitab - this is the book... The next one can be found in verse 256 which says; " "there is no compulsion in religion". Eminent Muslim scholars like Ibn Taymiyya, Al-Tabari, Ibn Qayyim and many others declared this Medinan Surah as non abrogated. Unfortunately for Islam, the right of the person to choose their own religion and how it is practiced has been the underlying cause of unease that Muslims are known for today.
Alheri Bawa is a 13 year old girl, forcefully abducted by her uncle and forced to accept Islam as her religion. Her father Bawa Buba attends Seventh Day Adventist Church Miya in Bauchi State with his family. Alheri's plight was brought to my notice yesterday and I demanded to speak to Alheri's Dad and Rikwense Muri who is his pastor. I was able to speak to Rikwense and obtained a video evidence I have not been able to save and share in this update without sharing Rikwense's update.
I don't want to pass judgement on this case. I urge you to read Bawa Buba's petition to the authorities below. It appears to me that the police can do nothing in the North and it is a shame. Please lend your voice to this, share widely and let us petition the government to effect the release of Alheri to her father. It is a shame that a once free Nigeria has gone into religious chains.
"My name is Elder Bawa Buba, an ordained Elder of Seventh-day Adventist Church Miya, in Ganjuwa LGA of Bauchi state. I write to petition you over the abduction and islamization of my 13 year old daughter Alheri Bawa by her uncle Mal Dauda Buba without my consent and approval.
On the 13th April 2016, my daughter left Miya town to visit her uncles in our family compound in Siri Village . She later followed one of her uncle's children to to spend the weekend in Bauchi city to spend the weekend. I thought she was in the village but after three days I sent for her to come back home but was told she has followed her uncle's children to Bauchi.
I made a called to Dauda Buba, who is a son to my Elder brother, to whom my daughter has gone to visit to enquire whether my daughter was with him as reported. To my surprise he confirmed the information and told me that he has also islamized her and that I should forget about seeing her any soon. I was shocked and thought it was a joke. I asked him why he didn't discussed with me and my daughter has never mentioned such an intentions. He told me that I should just understand and allow my daughter remain with him.
This is a big issue because when Christianity and Islam came to our village, I accepted Christianity while other of my brothers accepted Islam. Few are still practicing traditional religion. I was seen as an outcast in the family till date. I believe he did something to my daughter and she's not in her right sense right now.
My story continues. I went to the village and reported the issue to my brothers who were not pleased with Dauda did. They all expressed displeasure over the issue and call upon Dauda to return my daughter to me but he told them he won't and that Bauchi state Sharia Commission and other big names are aware of the girl's change of faith and since I'm doing nothing at the moment I cannot drag with me. My family members were helpless and advice me to take the case to Hakimin Miya, Alhaji Sulaiman Yakubu.
I reported to Hakimin Miya who went to Bauchi and asked him to return my daughter. He told Hakimi he will but did not after 3 days Hakimi sent his dogari to Bauchi but he could not. Hakimi now told me to take the case further.
I reported to Gajuwa Police Division, the DPO Mr Tambuwal, told me that it's not in his jurisdiction that I should report to GRA Bauchi Division. I have no resources at all for these. I asked my Church pastor for help since the issue have gone beyond family. One of my brother gave me the address of Mal Dauda Buba, the abductor my daughter, who work as a security man in GRA, after Nehima Clinic, Behind Govt House Bauchi. I went to the house and I was lucky to meet him at the gate. With my Church pastor and a deacon in Church, we greeted with him. I then asked why he love to bring problem to my family. I told him the pain and trauma he has brought to my family just because he feel I'm poor and will have no one to stand for me while he will use my daughter's conversion for personal gain among the Muslim elites in the state, especially the state Sharia Commission which he is boasting of in the phone with me.
To my surprise he told me that the issue is no longer family but religious so I should put family aside and accept that fact or I should go to Sharia Commission who are the only ones with power to release my daughter from him.
As we were talking my daughter came out excited to seeing me and wanted to follow me home, I held her hands and asked her to enter the pastor's car so that we'll go home. As she was going, Mal Dauda Buba rushed and held unto her hijab and told her that she is irresponsible and she will not follow me unless the sharia commission are here since they are aware of her decision. My daughter shouted "Na FASA, na FASA" that's "I'm not longer interested". At this points we started dragging with him over my daughter. Within seconds the place was filled with hoodlums who wanted to turn the issue into a religious crisis. They threatened to burn my pastor's car. They place became and the tension was high. Mal Dauda was shouting, "this religious issue, not family", " He brought his church people".
At this point some Muslim leaders in the area came and expressed their disapproval towards Mal Dauda's action as unIslamic but he insisted that he will not let her go. They now told my pastor to see how he will get me out of the place because I was no longer in my right mind because of the pains and trauma I have been through and my daughter's willingness to follow me. I was ready to die with my daughter in my hand.
The hoodlums were increasing in number and the Muslim elders begged my pastor to take me away and that I should not worry, the police will return my daughter to me because mal Dauda's action and the boys around is not Islam. My pastor now dragged me by force into the car And drove away from the scene.
Later on we went to GRA Division Police station and laid our complaints. The police were quick in action at the beginning. They attached a policeman to us who later arrested the man and brought him to the station.
The man was asked to sit behind the counter to explain his side. The man then made a call to the Sharia Commission. They requested to speak with the police. After speaking with the police, the man was ask to come to the front of counter by Inspector Abdulraman Dass who was in charge. The man now begin to speak boldly. We were just watching with surprise.
The station DCO ASP Joseph came out immediately and ask me to go to court and request for the custody of my daughter. That it's a civil case. My 13 year daughter is abducted, Islamized and forced to stay with a criminal and the police called it a civil case. We were ask by the DCO to hire a lawyer and go to court over my daughter.
Were is the money to file a case? Which court should I go to? Sharia Court? I'm in trauma and pain. All I want is the custody of my daughter Alheri Grace Bawa. Pls sir, use your office to return my daughter back to me. I'm home in the village back to my wife and remaining 5 children as we weep and wait for justice for me and my family.
– Eld Bawa Buba, Miya, Bauchi state."
