Is There Anything Wrong With What He Is Doing?
So this gentleman (Hon. Babatunde Ayinla Balogun) posted a picture of himself bathing his newborn, pounding yam and cleaning the home while his wife rested. Most of the comments have been positive and some negative. People asking him if his wife fed him Juju or why is he taking care of his wife's responsibilities.
I see nothing wrong, they made the baby together and should take care of the baby together. We women need rest sometimes. May God continue to bless your home.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Husband and wife should be helpers of one another. People see things like this and think jazz because we were brought up thinking the wife's the household maid and anything even remotely outside of that is considered suspect. I remember a friend visited me a few years back and was shocked to see my husband bathing the kids and changing diapers. I was surprised at her shock.lol. A few months here and her own husband too started helping her with their kids when they returned to Naija and she credits it to what he saw here.
ReplyDeleteAnother time she came without her family,she said she had to lie to people that the kids were with a family friend because telling them they were at home,with their biological father, would be considered wrong.
Hey, If your husband does these things, you should consider yourself pretty lucky to have such a wonderful man in your life. Period!

ReplyDeleteGod bless you sir, leave those that married their mini gods ,bosses,lords, landlord, their grandpa that didn't think of his age before marrying a young girl n would keep reminding himself that he is not her mate. Those that marry their friends shares chores,they are help mate not slave mate.
