Domestic Abuse Victim Has Gone Back to her Husband

Jude Izuakor battered Gloria, his wife and mother of his three children, in January, at their Festac home, leaving her with a deep cut. Rights activist, Joe Odumakin, took up the case and promised to see him to jail. However, today, she announced that after much pleas, Izuakor’s reconciliation move was finally accepted after signing an undertaking.

He promised not to lay his hands on his wife again. He also vowed to join the campaign against domestic violence. She said he was enlightened by his lawyers about prison net closing in on him in his trial and so he opted for an out-of-court settlement and reconciliation. Gloria has since moved back to her matrimonial home.
