Do You Know What Was Rejected By The Senate?

The Nigerian government has rejected protecting your reproductive rights as a woman to terminate any pregnancy even in cases of sexual assault, rape, incest and where the continued pregnancy endangers the mental and physical health of the mother and fetus. Meaning they don't care about what is going on with your reproductive system.

They have rejected protecting the widows from inhumane, humiliating and degrading treatment. We already know what most of them are already going through.

They have taken the rights of a widow from automatically becoming the guardian and custodian of her children, after the death of her husband. She losses her husband and children.

They have rejected the widow's right to remarry in the first place, to remarry a person of her choice.

They have rejected a widow's right to an equitable share in the inheritance of the property of her late husband, have no right to continue to live in their matrimonial house. 

A woman shall have no right to inherit in equitable shares, or inherit their parents properties.

We are going backwards instead of moving ahead. Nigerian women are now going to be extinct. We are now an endangered species. I wonder if the senates where born of a woman, if they were ever raised by a widow.
